Auto/Novice Beginners Race Rules
Format/standards to be in place for the running of Youth Class Auto to Novice Beginners
All Autos/Novice Beginners will be assessed before being allowed to compete in any event
| Class | Automatic solo machines automatic and geared 65cc 2 stroke up to and to include 80cc 4 stroke all beginners/novice riders only from the age of 6 upwards |
| Race duration | Maximum 1.5 hour Hare and Hound. 1½ hour Moto Duro split format 45 minutes each race with a half an hour break |
| Track | Track to be no more than 3 miles in length with clear view from Marshal points up to and above 10 Marshal points. Static numbered and manned. Each point to have flags to indicate caution warning etc., to approaching riders. Should there be an incident between points this flag to be yellow, a blue flag to indicate first aid assistance necessary, and a green flag to indicate track maintenance or assistance needed. Clerk of the Course to have red flag to stop the race if necessary |
| Marshals | It will be encouraged for Parents to man these points up to 2 per point. Regular Club Marshals will be trackside and travelling during all events, training and a procedure list for Marshalling will be issued to Parents at signing on. It will be discouraged for Parents to be allowed to wonder on to the track during the race this is the job of the regular Marshals
All regular Marshals will be equipped with 2 way radios along with race control, First Aid and the Clerk of the Course Please note the Auto/Novice beginner’s class will have a sighting lap prior to the race but should also be encouraged to walk the track prior to the sighting lap Any other relevant rules will be the same as the main club rules, which cover the other classes, run at BYEC events |
